Hi friends, and welcome to the second Quarterly Southern California field trip. Every 90 days, we visit growers and producers of California Cuisine ingredients. You’ll enjoy the scenery, the people, and, of course, the sunshine!

Today’s visit takes us to a fifth-generation Japanese, family-owned, strawberry farm in Irvine, California.

Irvine is special to me for many reasons. My eldest child graduated from the University of California, Irvine (zot, zot, zot, Anteaters!). Several dear friends live in Irvine and the surrounding cities of Newport Beach, Tustin, and Costa Mesa. Plus, the city is home to one of my favorite collections featuring California Plein Air and Impressionist art at the Langson Institute and Museum of California Art.

These field trips are just one of the many delicious perks of being a paid subscriber, and I’m so glad you are here!
